S#*! My Southern Mama Says....
1. "Pull it up!" My mother is CONSTANTLY on me about cleavage, telling me to "Pull it up!!".How my mom sees my cleavage :
How my cleavage actually is:
2. "Hold your horses!"
3. "He's handsome!"or "Do you like him?"-mom
My reaction:
5. "Quit your crying"
6. "Get your elbows off of the table!" or "Where are your manners?!"
7. My mom will ask me a question during dinner and when I try to answer, I'll get "DON'T TALK WHILE EATING!"
8. It's not "small", it's "teency" or "tee-nincy". I'll never understand why she won't say "small".
9. "Suck in your stomach, and put some color on!"
10. "Never leave the house without a little makeup on."
how my makeup really is:
12. "Quit being ugly." In the South this means stop acting up or stop be bad. Ugly is referring to the attitude or act, not the person. lol I promise we aren't being mean!
13. "Kill them with kindness" or "Pray for em'"
14. I don't know how many times I've heard this throughout the years!:
15. YES!
16. I used to hear this plenty when I was a kid.
17. Not a kiss...some sugar!
18. "She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth". Meaning she was born being spoiled and getting what she wants.
19. "Don't make eyes at me, girl!" (Don't roll your eyes!)
20. I Love You!
Although my mother says some crazy things (some of them multiple time) I love her to death and I know no matter how much she fusses at me, she loves me even more. Happy Mother's Day to all the crazy mamas out their! Have a wonderful day and God Bless!
