Perfect Mother's Day Gifts!

Mother's Day is (literally) just around the corner. Many of you are probably frantically scrambling for gifts, and many people will end up settling (unhappily) on something either way to expensive or not your mother's/wife's type.
Mother's Day shouldn't be a big stress-filled fuss. It should be peaceful and happy. Our Mother's gave us life, they deserve a day that's all about them. Here's a couple ways you can make their day special, without driving yourself crazy.
I have gift ideas for all types of spenders. You're sure to find something that suits you and your special woman. Don't end up like this, this Mother's Day!

Budget A: 100$ or more

1. Jewelry. "Diamonds are a girl's bestfriend, but we also accept pearls, rubies, ect." With some women, you cannot go wrong with jewelry. With us Southern women. PEARLS, PEARLS, PEARLS! There's just no way to go wrong with pearls.
2. Concert Tickets (mainly for wives, but some mothers may enjoy). Hire a babysitter for that night, and take her to her favorite concert. Grab some dinner (maybe some breakfast lol), and live it up. It's a way for both of you to let loose and have some fun! Great site for all sports, concerts, and events: Tickets
3. Indulgence (i.e spas, massages, weekend get-a-ways). What woman doesn't need a spa day, massage, or weekend get-a-way? Book her a weekend at a resort or her favorite spa. Every girl needs a weekend to herself to relax and rejuvenate.
4. Dishes/Crystal. Southern women have a "thing" about dishes and crystal. My mama has a set of china for every child (there's 5 of us!). She's been collecting them since before she had any of us. Some were passed to her from her mama or grandmama. If your mother or wife collects a certain pattern, find out which one and track down a piece or two. If she doesn't collect already, get her started! There's nothing like the look of joy on my mama's face when she finds a new piece (or one she's been hunting!).
5. Antiques. Antiquing is really big in the South. My parents, my mother especially, goes all out with antiques. You can find antique items anywhere. Check thrift shops, antique stores, or the internet.
6. Furniture. (You can find NICE antique furniture as well) A few new home decorations are nice. Has your wife/mother hinted at a new chair, ottoman, or couch? What about a new bedroom set or mattress?
7. If nothing above suits you, you usually can't go wrong with a gift card. Get her a gift card to her favorite store, restaurant, or online store.

Budget B: 40-100$
1. Perfume. My mama recently found her new favorite perfume comes from Michael Kors. She found it at TJMaxx (wonderful place to find anything and EVERYTHING). They have a great selection of perfumes and colognes for AMAZING prices.
2. Clothes. What women doesn't like new clothing? You can also check out TJMaxx for an excellent selection of clothing for men, women, and children (In all sizes!).
3. Accessories. Has your wife/mother been hinting at wanting a new purse? What about new shoes? This would be a perfect time for that! (I know you all are probably already tired of this, but TJMaxx!!)
4. Lingerie. This is mainly for the wives, because handing your mom a frilly bag with a thong in it might be a tad awkward...Anyway! Hit up Victoria Secret (or the lingerie store of your choice) and ask one of their female workers for a little help. Don't be shy, they're there to help. They can help you find the right size and style for your special lady. (:
5. Mani-Pedi. Make an appointment for her at a salon/spa for a mani-pedi. For all of you men that are clueless as to what that is, it's a manicure and pedicure. Wives, as well as, mothers will enjoy and appreciate this little treat!
6. Antiques, Concert tickets, and gift cards. You can find any of these things to fit your budget.

Budget  C: Homeade-40$
1. Dinner. Pick out a NICE dinner (no box mac&cheese or instant potatoes) and go all out. Clean the house, set the table, light some candles(maybe not for your mother lol), play some soft music, and make dinner fancy. Get dressed up really nice and pamper her.  Don't let her lift a finger.
2. Flowers are a must! When in doubt always pick up flowers! Preferably her favorite, but if you don't something bright and pretty is good. Roses are a total cliche so none of those (unless they happen to be her favorite).
3. Gift Baskets. Now, I'm not meaning the store bought, already been packed with a pretty bow on it gift basket. I'm talking hand picked and stuffed. Go get a basket and put as much of her favorite things in there as possible. Movies, CDs, candy (Chocolate), lotions and soaps, bath salts, makeup, new kitchen supplies (if she's into that), and framed (in a NICE frame) pictures (of family, the two of you, ect.). Put whatever you can think of in that basket. Put a big, pretty bow on it and Voila!
4. Teacup Candles!
5. Flower Magnets
6. Poem! Write her a poem. This works for either your mom or your wife! Girls love poems, ESPECIALLY hand-written ones! Get creative and romantic. Leave in on her pillow or roll it up and put it inside a balloon, attach it to a bouquet of flowers! Put a bunch of effort into it! A simple card with a Hallmark poem in it, is a HUGE sign of no effort. It's just lame...
7. Monogrammed Mugs. Southern women LOVE to monogram and this is a simple* way to do it yourself! Get a coffee mug, plate, bowl, ect...and a sharpie.  Take the sharpie and write whatever you want on it. Hey! You could even draw something! (Writing your poem on this would be a VERY good idea) After you've finished designing/decorating your cup, stick it in the oven for about 5 minutes (or until completely dry) (use a Q-Tip and dab it on the ink to check it) and then let it cool. Now you have your own DIY (Do it yourself) Monogrammed something!
8. Candle and matches. I saw this on Pinterest and told my own mother about it and she loved it! She thought it was adorable, so I thought I should share! Buy a nice candle with a pretty scent and color and a glass jar of your choice. Fill the glass jar with matches. Put the lid on with a pretty ribbon and a card/tag that says "Thank you for lighting the way. Happy Mother's Day". How cute is that? Make sure to add a pretty ribbon onto the candle as well!
9. "I Love You to Pieces" This combines creativeness with CANDY!

I hope this helped you with your search for the best Mother's Day Gift!
